Can any1 define flotates?
In Chemical Eng. & Biotechnology, is it Flotate/s is something that is floating on the surface of analyte or wastewater sample? How deep from the surface, is considered as flotates?

I need ideas on how to clean up oil spills in the open ocean…? I already know about the following methods: Booms-floating barriers to collect oil…Skimmers-boats used to skim spilled oil from the waters surface…Sorbents-big sponges used to absorb oil…Chemical Dispersant’s & Biological Agents…and In-Situ Burning-burning freshly spilled oil…
I need a NEW idea of how to clean up oil spills in open oceans
Thanks!
i measure a wastewater’s pH, noticed tht pH decrease as temperature increase. Why? Assume pressure is normal, constant & negligible.
The product has been tested over years with great success.Manufacturing the product is no problem. Our interest is taking this product to next level using minunim amount of investment. The product can be marketed to commercial & industrial customers that have enviorimental concerns.
Mining Effluents normally are acidic with pH values lower than 5. Treating it with lime solves the problem however it increase the concentration of Total Disolved Solids resulting to the exceedance of Water Quality Standards. Putting up a filtration process is not economically feasible since the wastewater / effluent volume ranges from 25,000 to 30,000 cubic meters. Establishing or amending the effluent standard would take sometime as all the criteria , environmental & ecological and health impacts must be evaluated and assessed. Time is of the essence as it will affect the socio-economic impact of the mining industry and the ecology and environment as a whole.
Sin (chemical plant), Doom3 (some sort of processing facility), FEAR (wastewater plant), NFS Most Wanted (Refinery), NOLF 1 & 2…What other games use these environments?
The squeamish call it "toilet to tap." The correct term is "indirect potable water reuse." Your thoughts?

Methods of growing Algae under greenhouse conditions to clean water & produce biodiesel
The note should be in 2 pages covering any kind of topic related only with waste water treatment (It includes executive summary & conclusion)
My 2006 Maxima has a tiny oil filter Fram# PH6607). I was wondering if anyone has interchangeable larger oil filter part number. I would definitely feel it would be an improvement to add filtration to this small oil capacity of this engine.
Thank you.
Unfortunately, I did not get an answer from the forum. My research finds that both the Fram 6607 &7317 series filters are 20mm X 1.5mm Th’d. The 7317 is .8" taller than the Nissan specified 6607. Manufacturers are using smaller oil filters for EPA regulations. One simple fact remains is larger the filter, the larger the capacity will be. I may not be a "Nissan Engineer"; I am an Engineer by profession with an Aerospace, & Nuclear background. These are the factual findings, not just an opinion.
