A lube oil that is 20 deg API or 20 wt. is written on the can. To convert that to specific gravity (SG) you use the following form
API=141.5/SG-131.5 or SG=141.5/(API+131.5)
API=20 for example
SG=141.5/(20+131.5)
SG=141.5/151.5
SG=0.93
The viscosity can be found in the MSDS
